Folly Beach 2012

We came down to Folly a little earlier than usual this year--Gen graduated from MUSC in May!!!

The Thuls & Holmens stayed in a 4 bedroom house this time, right on the island rather than right off the island. The house was on the north east side, right on the river. Beautiful sunrises, and the beach was maybe 2 blocks away? Would definitely stay there again!!

Folly Beach 2011

In 2011 it was a little different. Rather than the entire Thul/Holmen family going, it was just Gen, Debra & I. We stayed closer to MUSC since Gen was working on her simulation experiments. We stayed in Charleston at the Residence Inn for 2 weeks.

However, we went out to Folly a number of times:

Since I won't be back in Folly this coming year, some pics from the past few years.

In 2008 we stayed at the Marshwinds condos near the bridge crossing over into Folly. Stayed for 1 week in mid-July while my daughter worked on her PhD at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Had a nice 3 bedroom unit on the end of the top floor....nice place to stay.

No more Folly Beach for awhile.......

Since my daughter graduated from MUSC last May, it doesn't look like Folly Beach for a couple of years. I will be back, however, just not sure when. Will definitely try renting a house again!
